I am looking for a stable near Epping Forest/High beech. I am currently stabled near Theydon Bois but there is not much hacking there! Preferable has a school and close to the forest. I know it is awkward, but due to an injury, he needs individual turnout and preferably turnout during the winter (even if this is limited).Happy to help out as much as possible and open to options. Thank you for any responses in advance! Would love to be back round this area as I love the hacking and it is slightly closer to home!

I used to be In that area and still keep in contact with old friends. woodredon is in the middle of the forest, has an indoor and outdoor school but not sure if they can offer individual turnout and winter turnout can be limited if the weather is bad. carlton house in high beech has an outdoor school and used to offer individual turnout but as with woodredon winter turnout can be difficult..there used to be a yard in Theydon bois called crystalbrook and that had easy access to forest riding but turnout was very limited....I think turnout in epping forest areas is a bit like hens teeth as there are so many horses and the ground is mainly clay based so gets really muddy...good luck

There are quite a few in high beech area that I know of, pipers, pine lodge, Carlton house, manor farm and woodredon. All have at least an outdoor school and some an indoor. The only one without restricted turnout is manor farm which is 24/7 or in at night in summer and out during the day in winter but I think Carlton also has restricted turnout in summer as well as very minimal in winter. All are close to the forest.

I am stabled in Epping, a 15/20 minute hack with some road work to the forest. Horses out 24/7 summer, in overnight in winter. During winter, we can turn out every day, but is restricted to during daylight hours. No individual turnout though.

woodlands in sewardstone road is the only one I can think of where I have seen individual turnout but it is restricted to a couple of hours a day all year round. Pipers farm did have individual turnout but the fields are usually shut in winter. I think any kind of decent turnout in this area will be limited if you need individual turnout. Another one to try might be sovereign fields in bury road.
