Staffordshire Horsewatch Police confirm that two horses, in the Wolseley Bridge area, that suffered injuries, whilst out grazing, have been put to sleep. The horses, owned by the same person, were found to have sustained the injuries in two seperate incidents one week apart, the latest being 2nd August.
It is currently uncertain if the injuries were sustained by accidental or criminal means and police are investigting this matter. Owners are asked to be on their guard and report any suspicious matters or information on 0300 1234455 or 999 if urgent.

Martlin, sorry don't know whose they are as only heard tonight, only just got in as been at a dressage comp, from a friend on facebook and Staffs Horsewatch. Will hopefully find out more tomorrow if I can :(
Sounds rather worrying and a bit dodgy so hoping the police can get to the bottom of this and deal with the person responsible. Poor poor horses :(

If I were you I would contact Staffs Horsewatch and ask for more info based on the fact your bay is in the immediate area to see how much risk he's in. As the two horses were owned by the same person it may be person related rather than horse but either way I'd want to know more info :(

no idea I have no idea what makes some people do these sort of things, seriously seriously sad situation, feel so sorry for the poor horses and the owner must be absolutely distraught :(

Oh poo :( Can you contact her tomorrow to check she is ok? If I hear anything tomorrow I'll post as soon as I hear x

:(:(
friend drove past there this morning and saw a chestnut in the field with 3 people round it. Not sure if its one of the two Staffs Horsewatch reported or whether this is another one, I really hope its not number 3 :(

makes me feel sick if I'm honest :(
Can't imagine what sort of people hurt innocent animals, sick sick sick ********
