Having had my first mounted day with the staghounds last weekend I am keen to go hind hunting next year.

I know they wear black coats and regular followers don't have a coloured collar; are visitors okay to wear their own hunt's buttons and collar on a dark or navy coat where awarded?

I'm pretty sure they are unless it's a tweed time of course but best to check with the Secretary to make sure. Ravenwood will probably know too as she lives in the middle of it.

Glad you enjoyed it; amazing country down there, some seriously scary coombes to go down - and up!

Hind hunting is the time to wear a black jacket but hey, anyone is welcome whatever you wear? Because lets face it, the weather is bound to be wet or foggy so most people will be wearing waterproofs anyway ;)
I am pretty sure you will be welcomed in your own hunt colours :)

CC, yes, no problem with hunt coats etc, even if its dry! Staghounds are generally very informal, but do tend to wear the bowler hat more than most, but as an attractive young lady, you will always be welcome!
