Can anyone recommend a good stain remover that will work removing poo and mud stains? My piebald cob always manages to lie on poo in his stable overnight - and always on the white patches - never the black! I don't want to wash him as it is too cold - but really hate riding out with him looking like a bog pony! Any suggestions welcome, please. Thanks x

Cowboy magic, requisite dry shampoo, absorbine show clean diluted in a spray (it is purple but rub in and it goes white) or good old fashioned baby shampoo diluted and rubbed in with a face cloth.

Clipping defo helps!

I'm the same; cannot stand stable stains. I've tried all sorts but those above are the best

Thanks Lara and Vanner, I have heard that Cowboy Magic is good but didn't want to buy it without some recommendations. I may give it a go.
If I can get him looking like the beautiful cob in your signature Vanner, I would be very happy ( and also very amazed!). He does need clipping again, which will help, but he always seems to rub his face and neck in the poo, which I usually leave hairy in the winter.

We always cleaned up the stabled horses with a bucket of warm water, a water brush and a stable rubber - just was the spot that is stained. and towel dry. The horse won't die of cold or melt! :D

Carr & Day & Martin's Stainmaster is great! It's sprayed directly onto the stain and then rubbed in well. When wiped off the stain will have disappeared! Works equally well on muck, mud or grass stains.
