Our little mini shetland type is currently on box rest and has been for several weeks (lami). He is in a pretty roomy stable but the door is too high for him to see over at all and I think it would be nicer for him if he could see out as he must be so bored. The problem is that he has occasionally tried to climb lower doors and he can also get under things like electric fence.

Has anyone successfully used a stall guard, slip rails or similar for a little one without them escaping?

Can you maybe cut the door down? ?
Easier than it sounds, we did ours and screwed a piece of wood across the bottom to keep the strength

The yard mini has a stall guard fitted at the appropriate height with the excess folded up and secured. This chap is known as the ginger ninja because of his escape abilities, the stall guard has him beaten!
