Sorry if this touches a nerve with some but it is so annoying when certain stallion adverts NEVER show any;-

1) good confo pics
2) good movement pics
3) good jumping pics

It just doesnt help their cause at tall.

there is an old saying - never work with children or animals - for actors - reason being getting decent footage is a pain in the backside

OH is a good photographer (not his day job) and even with his skill and a VERY good set of digital kit (not pro quality but not cheap stuff) - he'll get 3 good shots out of every 30 perhaps - I mean being real fussy about the quality of the shots

suppose normal person would look and say 20 of them are OK - and those are movement shots, not standing ones

It's not easy to do and horses like other animals can be very unobliging about looking at the right time in the right direction with the legs in the right order

Sometimes it is better to not have a piccy than have a bad one - and sometimes you go with the best piccy you can get and hope

OH.MY.GOD !!!

Anyway back to a good wesbite, yes I soo appreciate the websites that makes an effort- the ones that have lots of photos, videos, progeny photos etc- it makes all the difference!!

Too late to edit, but I did mean to mention he's the second one down.. I take it you found him then...

I'm not saying that the all singing, all dancing websites have the best horses, but as DoD said it does make all the difference. Especially if a stallion is miles away, I'll make the trip if I think the photos and video are worth it.

seansheep I am a muppett with the camera but I have more than enough of decent confo, movement and jumping photos of my horses and that is with a cheapo camera!

I've got lots of decent photos but I'm talking about top class photos which was what I thought you meant from your post. Abosolutely right shadow, lighting, location of animal in the 'frame' of the picture, background, expression, moment of suspension, tuck up of the front legs when jumping, etc

he'd have 30 out of 30 ordinary photos
