Stallion - Call Again Casanova

Not sure he is available yet but he belongs to John Parrot, owner of his sire too. Nice horse he was graded registered with aes on his performance to date, not sure if he has upgraded yet. But he is showing he has some talant? seems a nice horse, i love his sire though!!

I think Jonathon has sold him. He mentioned the other day, hed sold a 5 year old stallion by Casanova, so assume its him

He is absolutely stunning though, and is clearly talented.

His sire is amazing, and really does have the presence you'd expect from a stallion.

Mind you, Danny Kannan , now theres a stunner, and what a temperament:D

I've heard from his rider that he'll have frozen semen available..

From his conformation he is exactly what I need to improve my mare.

The only thing I know about him is from Johns website and rider so wondered if an unbiased person knew of him etc..

Ive only seen him in the stable so can only comment on his temperament. He was genuinely lovely. Looks a great type.
Very much like his sire

Good luck ! Make sure you post pics of foalie !

I know Call again Casanova (Charlie) well and own his full brother who is a yearling. He is out of a Burgraaf mare who is also the Dam of Danny Kannan, a 6 year old who has evented with Paul Tapner and mine!! He is very laid back and has a wonderful nature - my 5 year old daughter was sat on him round the lorry park at Kelsall, has done well BSJA, BD and BE. He isn't overly big and is quite chunky. Personally I think Danny Kannan has a more spectacular jump and also has a wonderful temprement and Charlie's sire Casanova du Domaine Z is more commercial and is proven as a sire. Also both of these are available chilled / fresh.

Would you choose to use Danny Kannan instead?

Personally I would - he's been competing BSJA with Antony Condon and won (jointly I think) the 4 year old championship at Addington - they will continue to compete him at a high level which will ultimately make his offspring more valuable. He's very similar in temprament to Charlie, his semen is superb, stud fee not horrendous and he's out of the same mare Kormeline and Kannan relations are very popular at the moment. He's also bay which mean unless you have a grey mare no chance of a grey baby and all that washing! But that's just my preference. Jonathan is very helpful if you ring him up and has lots of pictures of offspring etc
