Ok I'm thinking of putting our mare in foal as forward planning means I'll probably be horse hunting in 4 years time.

So I need a long legged short backed stallion, pref not too heavy to cross with this mare who is Hanoverian x connemara.

I usually use Alvescot stud, but would like a Grade A SJ (something that have proven itself)

Anyone with any suggestions?

raubritter is long legged and short backed and may be grade A in four yrs time! lol

Quainton Stud (Aylesbury - bit outside your area) have some s/j stallions that Ben Maher competes - that's all I know about them, but think they're pretty smart. Think they have a website if you do a search.

My mother-in-law has used Helios de Bourneval he is in an International Grade A who stands in Gloucestershire. He produces stunning foals..
