Advice please from all you stallion owners. Mine's gone out on long term loan because of my circumstances here, and his loaner says that she can't get anybody to insure him for loss of use as a breeding stallion because of his age. (He's 15). Where do you go for insurance, and is this going to be a difficulty??

You could try the various boys in Newmarket: Lycetts, Anglo Hibernian, BBA; but yes 15 is usually about the time premiums will sky rocket, if you can get cover at all. If you already have a relationship with an insurer they should help you out and you should be able to get some cover, but if going in without any history I would think you would struggle.

Sorry, but that would be my experience, others may have more positive stories.
