Anyone have any info?

Hoping that Vicijp reads this as she's bound to know a bit about him.

Can't do the racing record, you need Vic's for that but -

'93 by Reprimand out of Tootsiepop (USA)

Reprimand was by Mummy's Pet out of Just You Wait.

Tootsiepop was by Robellino out of Sticky Habit and she's listed as having 9 foals, all by decent horses.

Hope that helps!

Pretty sure he didnt race.
Stood at Louella for a couple of seasons then shipped off to Ireland.
Quite a successful sire over there of eventers and show horses.
No racing prodgeny that i can see.

My friend bred a colt by him out of a very good show mare. Sold him to another friend several years ago.

Well he's back at the yard for a couple of weeks, and I haven't seen him for about 3 or 4 years.

He is absolutely stunning. Now the mare is a Wembly winning brood mare, so you'd expect him to be half decent - but he really is lovely.

Just under 17hh dark, dark bay with nice temprament (which was always the case).

Never seen a picture of dad though - or really know anything about him so was just curious.

Thanks both.

Ah. Did you breed him yourself or buy him? What's he like?

I bought him as a 4 year old he was bred here in Ireland by someone we know he is 17hh bright chestnut (everyone says orange) totally laid back and so lazy it is untrue but very funny. He is the 1st one on the left in my sig with the pink nose looking over the fence. Hunted him twice and he loved it but thought that he should lead at all times which was a bit annoying )and a 15 yr old as she was then found him hard to hold) He has jumped through affiliated 90cm, 1m, 110 and was doing 120 very successfully until we decided to open him up and event him with Eventing Ireland, he absolutely hated dressage but did it well when pushed, did 3 Pre Novice and finished on his dressage score then did 1 Novice and was amazing cross country. He then went lame about 2 weeks later and diagnosed with spavin, we gave tildren and chucked him out for 4 months he came in end October and we have been working him on bute to get the spavin to fuse, the rest of the joint is fine, funny when we bought him the vet remarked that he had a curb but that it wuldnt do any harm and this is where the spavin has developed. The prognosis is good and hopefully he will jump again as that is his main love. We love him to bits but he is so bored at the moment he is so naughty and a real character.

Sounds very like the laddy at our yard. Mum was only 15.2 - so Lester Lad throws big stock by the sounds of it.

Good luck with your 'Man's' recovery. x

Thanks. Lester Lad stands down in Southern Ireland and according to the books has only about 94 foals. I watch the sales here and see some coming up from time to time mostly females and actually they have been fine built and about 15.3. I have seen one other one out eventing, I believe there is one racing and another one eventing in England. What is your lads show name and what has he done. Mine is called Lester at home. He was called Sea Pearl when we got him but we hated the name and he hadnt done anything under that title so we changed it to something more in keeping with his character.

Not my horse, so won't name him on the forum. But he's done a little bit of this and that. HOYS search for a star - placed. Dressage etc. 1st days hunting today - bless.

Guess his mother was Free Spirit then, remember him as a foal.
Free spirit was by Gandolpho who was 17.2 so although she was small had big breeding.
