Hello

Anybody own or know of any horses by TB stallion north col?

Or, have any other information about the stallion?

I have a horse by him and have been trying to find out more.

He was at the vets at Banbury, Avonvale, but had a repuation for having an unpleasant temperament, but think he threw some nice horses all the same.
 
I Googled him and seems he is still at Poplars Stud (near Alcester) but he must be very old by now, I'm amazed he is still standing (Racing Post wouldn't let me sign in for some reason).
 
hi i own a horse by North col, am researching his back ground at the momment which is how your post came up.

he still stands at stud in shelfield, he was born in 1987 so is getting on a bit!

are you still researching? if so any more info would be wonderful

Hi there.

I know this topic is a little old now but i've only just noticed it. North Col was born in 1987 so if he's still alive then he's really getting on.

He does throw some nice horses, and they have done well in certain feilds albeit not in the racing. Unfortunately the reputation he gained for his temperament is legitimate as during his time at Ratley Lodge Stud (Banbury) he savaged his groom and put her in intensive care.
 
I'm sure the victim would rather want people to know that about him than not.
Fortunately his temperament doesn't seem to be passed on to his stock; the ones i've dealt with have been pretty good natured
