Hi everyone, I have been adding my 13yr old stallion's daily supplement (2 scoops of benefit advance) in his am feed(just nuts). The unfortunately thing is that due to the quantity and smell he avoids eating it. I have tried soaking the nuts or adding oil and he still wont eat it... Ideas please? Any suitable balancers that come in pellet form ?

I use a 15ml spoon of molasses (sp) to hide the 2 supplements that my girl is on. She only has a handful of no sugar alfa, and lo- cal balancer so quite hard to hide sups in it. That small bit of sweetness is not too much to cause a problem IMO.
Also start with 1/2 scoop and build it up slowly.

Mine wouldn't eat benefit advance when she first started having it. Initially put it in her evening feed only. Then split it over two feeds and she still turned her nose up at it.

Mix the paste with something like molasses or marmite. Then gradually decrease the amount you're mixing it with. Only took three weeks of mixing with molasses then decreasing. Persevere, they will eat it!

She's currently on three scoops a day and eats it up just fine.

Does he also have chaff?? Might make his feeds a bit more appealing. Dengie Apple might entice him!
