I have a 16.1 tb mare that due to a tendon injury I am thinking of putting in foal next year but am confused with all the available stallions out there so would greatly appreciate any suggestions! The most important thing for me is temperament and trainablity, my mares sire is Mayhill so she has lots of ability and I love her quirkiness but would like to calm down her sharpness a bit. I would also like to add a bit more bone without giving her too big a foal, was thinking of a slightly chunkier tb or a ISH? Ideally would like something that could event but doesnt have to have all the scope in the world, temperament, boldness and lots of heart more important. Any ideas? Also, based in scotland so any stallions up here?

Hi, where about in the country are you?
If you are more southeast, there is a stud there that I have used, (They only use natural cover though) that has georgeous stallions, manners to boot (you are more likely to be defended from being licked to death than any form of nastieness!!) They are prooven competition stallions, jumping grade a (and international), several of their youngstock have gone eventing. Zenturio is one that I have used a 3 times, got an elite and high first in futurity with 2 of my youngstock, the third being sold as potential stallion. Manners and trainability second to none, really lovely light easy easy youngstock.
Failing him they have 2 other stallions, one is by Clover Hill, jumping grade a (Findon Four leaf) and another that is full brother to Matterhorn.
And I will also say, they have always been brilliant to me, looked after me and advised me so much. Some of their youngstock are with Sasha Pembleton to event.
John Bunyon, Findon Stud (No web page) PM me for more info
Should give you everything you want and need, My youngsters have always wowwed me, and I am going back there next year
