Stallions behaviour changed for the worse after being gelded

Hi all!
So, about a month ago, I had my stallion gelded, the stallion was a crypt orchid (retained testicle)
As a stallion, he was dead quiet, anyone could ride him, he was extremely laid back and willing. We decided to get him gelded so we could take him to public places and do many other things with him.
After being gelded and bringing him home, hes completely changed, he acts more stallionish and is alot more pushy towards me. Hes been acting more like a stallion after being gelded then what he was as a stallion. He was also gelded at age 4 so we were a bit late on gelding him as in my town we have no horsey veterinarian centres that can geld him so you have to travel. Any ideas how I could fix this problem? It's still really early days, a month isnt long. His hormones will be all over the place, you may be asking him questions now he is gelded that you hadnt asked before and its making him insecure? ie. you're a gelding now, lets go to a show even though you havent been before ... that kind of thing as just an example.

I would stay consistent with him, make sure everyone who handles him is safe and wearing a hat, body protector ect and give him a little more time for everything to settle down.

Four is not that late so don't fret. As said his hormones will be everywhere and he will be feeling insecure. Just be calm and consistent

I still think I'd be getting the vet to double check that all is well with the operation site. It could be his hormones or it could be pain.

I had one of my colts gelded at about nine months old. I had briefly considered keeping him entire as he has excellent bloodlines, moved exceptionally well and had a fantastic temperament. The day after he was gelded he turned into a little g*t but he did settle back down after a couple of weeks and went back to having a fantastic temperament.
