I have decided this is the year, i'm going to but my girly in foal, but i need some help and thought this would be the best place to look for it

I have been looking for nice dutch stallions in the surrey area, but am having a little trouble, mainly as i don't know where to start!!
The most important feature is temprement, my mare has a fantastic temprement, lovely paces and good conformation (although if we we're picky then i'd say she is slightly long in the back

)
She is 16hh

I am very experienced horse owner however i am new to this breeding business so am willing to take all the advice any1 can give me.

I'd like to preferably find her a husband in surrey as transport is a bit of a problem, i also don't want to send her off somewhere where i cannot get to easily as i want to be envolved in every aspect from conception to birth.

So if any1 knows of or can recommend a dutch stallion, between 15.3 and 16.3 with showjumping lines i'd be greatful if you can point me in his direction

Have a chat with the lady that runs Hobgoblins Stud in Sussex - she's a vet and holds semen from a lot of stallions not in this area.

A good moving local stallion - not Dutch I don't think - is Amy Stovolds Lenski - he's dressage though

Why not think about Brendons Stud in Pyecombe, East Sussex? (A23, just before you get to Brighton) They have some lovely wb stallions, and if you are looking for temperament, then Unbelievable Darco jumps like a stag and has the most wonderfully calm personality! (And very good bloodlines) They also have a number of lovely young stallions which they usually showcase at an open day in March. Its probably advertised on their website. Our mare is in foal by their Caretino Glory, and we had a brilliant AI service from them .... Let us know what you decide!

Lenski is not Amy Stovold’s horse.

Just to Clarify. He is owned, and was bred by Heidi Troniseck. He is from good showjumping lines – I know a lot about him, having known him since birth!

PM me for details x

You don't want any foreign muck in your mare - a nice Cleveland is what you want - so how about this one?

LINDON SCHOLAR (2559) foaled 2001 15.2hh Sire: Bantry Bere Dam: Borderfame Duchess

This is a picture of his brother (could not find one of him!)

There are lots of nice British Warmbloods - but I'd definitely NOT go for a Cleveland if I wanted temp. as a top consideration. I've owned one and known a few others and they are not necessarily easy or have good temps. - stubborn is one word you can use for CBs

My Stallions are foreign and they are all lovely!!!
See below,
16.3hh belgian PSG Grey Belgian Warmblood 14y/o Show jumping bred
and 16hh Elementary bay Oldenburg rising 5 dressage/ eventing, and 16.2hh Bay KWPN rising 3, SJ/Dressage breeding.

We bred our first foal this year and used Animo who stands near Horsham.
They can sometimes be a bit sharp but ours seems fab and (so far!) very easy to do.
