I went to view a nice little mare today, I didn't know she was a standardbred going there nor even on leaving until I did a little bit of research on her pedigree this evening.
I have her sire and dam details and microchip nos.
Thanks to Google I have discovered that her sire is owned by the president of the STAGBI and she was bred in Ross on Wye.
Does anyone have any contacts who would be able to give me a bit of info?
She doesn't pace but her canter is a little bit 4 time but I want to know if she was ever broken to harness or raced and what age do they start racing standardbreds?
Any info really would be useful, she was bred in Upton Bishop, Ross on Wye.
Thank you x

Hi Ravenwood - I've been absent off the forum for a while but am back nosing when I can and found your post on my usual 'standardbred' search.

I'm the current STAGBI President and have access to a lot of various sources of information regarding past and present racehorses and breeding stock so if you want to PM me with some more info I can try to help you (assuming you haven't managed to find this already yourself).

:)
