Standing after grass..

What's the minimum time you would allow after coming in from grass before riding? We usually wait an hour, but now kids are back to school, nights are getting shorted I was thinking it's a long time to wait! Any suggestions?

We ride immediately and always have, never had any problems at all!

I don't give time in between, always been fine.

Same with us - although we usually ride in the mornings, after the horses have been stabled at night. The few times we've brought them in from the field to ride, we always ride straight away.

I leave him as long as it takes to get him brushed off and tacked up

I don't leave mine any time at all - well just as long as it takes for me to have a natter, groom and tack up - sometimes an hour, sometimes 5 minutes.

As long as they haven't been eating any hard feed within last 2/3 hours, then you can ride them straight from the field.

Thanks everyone, we used to ride straight from field (after the grooming/tacking up bit) but on new yard everyone leaves horses an hour and we are going a bit soft!!
