standing square

:confused::mad: i have a very not stupid but confused filly who dosnt seem to know how to stand square i have never had this problem before with all my other welshys but morgan is just giving me a difffcult time i have 19 days until her show and want her to stand square how could i teach her to do so :confused:
 
<Bump> because this is interesting... with some a little tickle (if in hand) or asking for one extra step (if ridden) every time they stop not square can help, as can making sure they go from a forward walk to halt rather than just grinding slowly to one (if that makes sense!) but would be good to hear other ideas.
 
When i was training Inky to stand square i stood in front of him, pushed him backwards till he got his back feet in the right place. I then pulled him slightly forward to set his front feet, but not enough that he would move the back ones. When training mini youngsters we "hand set" the front feet ourselves, although i appreciate bending down infront of a mini is alot safer than a larger horse, so would not advise this unless your horse is quiet! Once i set Inkys back feet now, he sets himself up!!
