ive had tilly on part loan for about 8 months now, and the one thing that bugs me about her is she won't stand still for more than like 5 seconds when ridden well 8 times out of 10! sometimes she surprises me hah!)
when i do ask her to stand, sometimes she'll be alright and stand for a few seconds before throwing her head around and 'jogging' on the spot. i dont mind so much when i'm in the school, as i can just walk on and try again, its more so when im hacking on the roads. if she's with company she's not tooo bad if they are also stood still, but on her own shes a pain to get to stand still as she throws her head around and starts shuffling around. i do reward her when she does stand still with a pat, and letting her walk on.
i honestly dont even know where to begin to try and get her to stand?
she'll stand for hours on the ground, when being led and when tied up. she gets a bit figety with her saddle but only because shes a bit mareish and pulls a face when you do the girth up, not because its hurting her.
any ideas?
cheers
