Again? We didn't run this year as we were disappointed with the ground conditions last year. I wrote a strongly worded letter to BE after so many events we were planning were cancelled in 2005 (After Standish) and I am still waiting for a reply despite a follow up e-mail. What disappointed me even more this month in the BE magazine was the request that people direct queries direct to BE and not to air one's views on an open forum.
Its very disappointing as its the only one in Lancashire and the last one I was planning for the year. Not even sure if its worth joining BE due to travelling distances and events being cancelled. When are you next out Iestyn? Are you doing Somerford?
Stafford, Somerford and may then call it a day. OH is tempted to do the Novice at Broadway mid-October but if he goes well at the other two we may just try and end on a good note or do the PN at Broadway as it's a nice straightforward course. Problem is now - since I'm not eventing and have re-registered with BD we're clashing a bit on what to do!!! LOL
Just need a another neddy to save the arguments - if only we could afford it

Well you would go and buy a house!! So are you only riding Pulsaar at the mo? Could you not look for one to loan? I must concentrate on my schooling and do a few dressage comps this winter! Will come and watch at Somerford, as long as they run it!!
If you were having rain like we had here, was prob all for the best. I was stewarding at our RC show today, and WH ponies who never ever stop were being put out for three refusals. Reins were slipping, riders were slipping on wet saddles, ponies were slipping on wet ground. Think what a bad end to the season it would have been.
OH was at aff event today and people who have been clear all season were falling in the SJ. Thankfully rain stopped at lunchtime, so XC was run safely.
Hope there is some unaff stuff soon you can get to, and some better weather.
Hiya Lisa, which unaff ODE are you doing? Warren Farm has one on 23 Sept, there is also one at Charity Farm. I am going to Warren Farm, Sov is doing the open and I am taking Emerld (new boy) and my friends horse to do the beginners. Then I am hoping to do a couple of Hunter Trials in October.
Hi Elaine, Yes it was the Warren Farm ODE on 23rd, Charity Farm XC is on 24th and Broomhill Hunter Trials 17th. Which Hunter trials are on in October?
Hi Flic, will come up to somerford, which class have you entered? v.brave doing that one as your first back after your accident!!! Might see you out and about BSJAing, but I was waiting for the intro classes to be introduced as May is already out of BN.
Ever been down to Kelsall Hill? Not far, lovely going and decent fences, BE schooling course available for hire on Mondays? Lovely people run the venue. Pony Club Area Eventing venue WAS Standish - swapped to Coniston Cold at last minute.
Have'nt been to Kelsall yet, really need to get there. Will pick a nice weekend and find someone to go with!!!! Still want to do the Craven ride too and of course the Somerford ride before it closes for winter - Roll on payday!!!
