Well after years of doing full livery, I've started doing DIY
smile.gif
Reasons being - old yard has no room to take me, buying a lorry - so have to keep cost down and everyone seems to be raving about it!!

Well I got to do something I have never done before - choose which bedding I wanted to use! The yard is very liberal, so I could choose rubber matting if I wanted to

but I didn't, I decided on a wood fibre bedding - never used it before but it's cheaper then shavings, but we'll see how it goes

I moved Super up today and it took her .00000001 secs to settle in

I wormed her and filled a haynet for her to munch on. She was so relaxed, I was very tempted to put the saddle on her and ride her around (she hasn't been ridden in 9 months). She's been out 24/7 for the last 9 months, so was surprised how she looks like she's been in that stable all her life!

Then the hard part - I had to drive to Dollanstown (old yard)and remove 5 years of 'stuff'!! The horse box was full to bursting - I only have 1 horse yet I could open a equestrian shop!

Below are a few photos I took of the new yard. The quaility is not good as they are from my mobile.

Enjoy

Super looking every inch of her x-full head! Happily munching on her hay

Need to get a spirit level for the banks

Her tail isn't short or thin - it's just so manky it's blended into the background

The indoor stables (only 8). I haven't had indoor stabling in years! Hay barn and wash bay on the right.

I have to say, it's the quietest yard I've ever stayed in!

Thanks for looking

I'd say you can't wait to get on and ride her!!!

Best of luck in the new yard!

I was very tempted today! They had to beat me off with a shavings fork!

Hehe I can just imagine

She looks so small in the field pic and then the difference when she is in the stable!!! I'd say she is delighted to be back in.

PS. I want pix when you do sit up

The stables in the last yard were 15 x 15 so to go to 12 x 12 is a bit of a squeeze for her

I will have to have a camera ready - not sure how she will be - it could be ok but then again it could be 'you've been framed' material

The yard looks lovely and she looks like she's made herself at home. You'll definitely appreciate the indoor stabling during the winter, particularly now you're doing all the work!!
