Hello
We have a stunning 5 year old AES 14hh dressage pony with breeding to die for. We are a starting yard ourselves but we have no one small enough to start him. We have done all ground work and he is ready for a rider.
We would like to send him away to be started and brought on in dressage to find a young rider to take him on.

HOWEVER i cannot find anyone who specialises in this sort of work.

Does anyone know anyone who specialises in starting ponies for dressage. He has great breeding and his paces are beautiful so we would like him to reach his potential. We just need to find the right person!
We are in Yorkshire but willing to travel within UK to find the right person.

Help!!

If you are able to travel to bristol/south glos then I would recommend Beth Miller, BHSII trained at talland, now trains with Carl Hester.

I have read a lot about Phoebe Peters in horse and hound. She has been on the pony dressage squad a lot (2013 European dressage champ and 2014 vice-European champ) and on her website it says she has competed a horse owned by Charlotte Dujardin (so she must be good!) and has been breaking in young horses. Maybe worth having a look at her website.
If you want someone a bit older, there is Olivia Oakeley (also a young rider), who was trained by Carl Hester. I think she competes at PSG level. I have seen on Facebook that she has space for 2 horses at her yard.

I would highly recommend Anna Brown, annabrowndressageponies.co.uk
She has produced ponies that have gone on to represent GB at the Europeans, she has brought on horses to Inter II, but remains a very sympathetic rider who understands the needs of amateur owners.
