aw , I am teaching my horse Spanish walk he really enjoys doing it. I thought id have a play while he was off work...
I did it sightly different to you though, didnt use a stick just touched the top of his leg and asked him to lift, he did and soon got the hang of it, he now lifts both his leg when i ask him to when im on board as well, ( not at the same time....lol) and takes steps forward, still got a little way to go, but it was really easy, mind hes very clever and does pick things up quickly.
