He looks fine yes he has a bit of condition but that will come off. Don't go the other way and get him fit for 4* and find you have no control

To be honest i was a little shocked at images!!! but thx, as i do need reassurance

S-J - pmsl - how true, as i can battle with my brakes with him anyway!!!

Snigger **points** he ate all the pies lol

Hey the weather is getting colder, its been uber mild autumn so easy for horses to keep or increase in condition.

Over xmas hols he'll be worked, the weather is likely to get worse not better between now and February in which time you'll have ultra sleek pony back

Trust me, after Snoopys long lay off he weighed a whopping 586kg!!!! he is bearly 15.3 and a lightweight KWPN!
He had lived off good grass and although being worked through the summer it was light work and just wasnt making any indent on his fatship.

Now, he's looking much sleeker for spending more time in his box, Ive changed his food to fast fibre and cool course mix.

Myself.... well the diet starts on Boxing day!

PMSL, but he's just not really greedy horse, so blame lies with me!!! and good quaility hayledge!!!

i'm also defo going think about my weight after new year's eve!!

If you think he's fat you should come and see mine who are barrels with legs! They're both been off with injuries and have piled the weight on despite being on a starvation patch and I can't get it off as they're on walking exercise only. At least you can increase his work once he's been in work a while then it will all drop off and he will look a sleek eventer

Sorry cannot post pics of fat ponies as I have the opposite problem mine are both slim jims despite all the food that get's pumped into them!!!!
Soap last month before clipping

I think tbs keep them selves fit by hooning round the field everyday!!! Loonies I'm sure spud will loose his 'xmas cuddlyness' after a few weeks faster work he will go from a baked potato to a 'skinny french fry' in no time!

Best of luck for Badders

ahh, i wish i had taken a pic of my boy at lunchtime when he had his toes done, that would make you feel so much better about your boy! Andy looks like some sort of yeti/horse cross after having been on hols since the end of Oct, he is super-duper hairy (even tho he was clipped in Oct) and all the bits outside his rug (face, legs, top of neck and tail) are brown not white.. your boy looks super smart in comparison!

My girl still has visible ribs! But has retained her muscular backside, the joys of a TB with a super fast BMR, wish I had her metabolism. I've given up trying to make her put weight on, she looks very well and certianly feels good!

Won't take too long to get your lad uber fit looking again, wish I had that problem!
