I realise there has been a ton of treeless saddle threads recently, but I am still deciding on which treeless saddle for my shark fin withered PRE.
Came across StarTrekk saddles and from what I have read they seem to be more suitable than some of the other treeless brands for high withered horses. Unfortunately I cannot seem to find much detailed info, images or reviews. Just wondering if anybody here has any experiences with StarTrekk saddles?
Thank you :)

Hi MDB
how are things in Spain? i am bleddy roasting here in my bit of France , can't even ride there are so many flies, roll on Autumn as i have fat horses, especially the PRE!!
I had a good look at the Star Trek Comfort Shorty but i can't remember where i got the info from, Germany i think, i liked it but they are almost identical to the Trekker in terms of shape , style and adjustability except they have different pommel widths to chose from whereas the Trekker has one that you adjust by turning, i like this as my Arab changes shape a lot and i can make it wider or narrower, the only possible problem with either of these saddles is that you may not get the height you need over the withers due to the rather flat shape of the saddle there but i think your PRE would have to be fairly extreme for this to happen, in terms of comfort and stability my Trekker is amazing and i can ride anywhere all day, i'm fairly certain as they are almost identical that the StarTrek would be the same, both are also the shortest treeless saddles i have come across so again great for short backs ! i don't need a special pad either and i don't think the ST does either although i did opt for the Grandeur incase i need to shim.
i will try to remember where i found the ST info but i hope this helps a bit. xx

Hi Shady!
31 degrees here today. Thankfully we have a weather system coming in and we have a few days of cooler weather... and a day of rain!!! Yay! Everything is so dry. Like you I am sick of flies, huge horse flies, and bots... ugggh! I am hoping September will bring cooler weather. But then, it will soon be winter and I will be moaning, as this part of Spain gets three times the amount of UK rain in the winter!!!
Very interesting to hear about your saddle. It is so difficult, as you well understand, I am sure that you are the same, with no saddle fitters and experts to help. Even the ONLY equestrian shop in my area won't let you try a saddle. If you remember where to get the ST info that would be great. Post some pics of your horses. Would love to see your "fat" PRE! My PRE is also becoming a porker.. she will be in for a shock when that saddle comes. My Lusitano with the wither wound (don't want to tempt fate by saying it is healing up nicely!) I cannot ride for another two months on vets orders. Unfortunately living on the side of a hill means I cannot even lunge either of them. I resorted to running around the field with them on a few occasions trying to get them running around. They looked at me as if I had lost my mind. I was the only one that was huffing and puffing! Hey ho :)

had a good look for you and remembered that it was 'die sattel galerie' in Germany but she no longer stocks the complete range, she used to sell every treeless you could think of and was very helpful, i got my pad from her, i think what put me off the most was the price, cost of pommels if i got it wrong for the style i was interested in and not being able to test one, i went back to my original choice which was Barefoot or Trekker and chose the Trekker. I get on and off a lot and do mainly hill work and it never moves. do you have a side on photo of your mare showing her withers as i'm fairly certain you would be fine with a Barefoot cherokee ( i think this is one you are interested in?). xxxx
