Hoping to make the trip up to Burghley this year for the first time, but as it's quite far in order to make it worth it we're going to need to stay the whole weekend ideally.

Looking online and tents aren't allowed and we don't have a caravan, so what are our options? (without it being atrociously expensive).

How much is it to hire a caravan? Some will deliver to the site for you. Horse boxes aren't allowed so the only other option would be B&B but I'd book ASAP!

Hiring a carvan for the weekend is going to cost you around £400. There is a campsite in the area which may have room left, but speaking from experience unless you're willing to take a hotel or B&B 10+ miles outside of Burghley itself then you havent got a hope. I tried to get acommodation about a month ago and Ii rang challets and cottages B&B's and Hotels in the immediate area and I'm in a hotel 12 mile away at the recommendation of a friend and I was glad of that.

we go every year for the 4 days and generally stay Kettering way. There is a Travel Lodge and if you book it soon it will be cheaper (we got it for about £30 a night for the 2 of us).

There is a bit of a drive to Burghley (between 20/30 minutes) but its a pretty good drive to be honest and its near a complex with restaurants and a cinema.
