My OH's mare can be a bit of a pain picking up her rear feet, due to a historical injury problem. In the course of trying to retrain her, I am getting my toes squished on a semi regular basis

Can anyone recommend any long riding boots with steel toe caps please, as I only seem to be able to find Equitator and nothing else.

I need size 8 (42), if that makes any difference

Equitector are the only ones I know of & I've had their long boots (and short ones) for years. They're great- do the job, clean up well - and protect your toes when trodden on by a hoof with studs in (mine have the scuff mark to prove it but I can live with that). I know they do a wider fitting, maybe worth talking to them for fitting advice.

It certainly seems like they are.

Lots of companies do short boots with toe caps, but long ones seem rare.

I will take a look, as I am fed up with the two of us hopping around each other, as she tries to pick her foot up and I try not to get squished...again

Whats wrong with Equitector, I have the long and short boots and they are fab. I got the long ones which are zipped ones off e-bay for around £60.

I've also got K*TY steel toe capped boots off Equestrian Clearance, am sure they do long ones too.

Nothing wrong with them at all, I was just wondering if there were any alternatives.

I'll have a look on ebay, that is where I have bought and sold several pairs of Mountain Horse boots.
