So, four weeks on and she's doing great. I can't say that I don't get upset every now and then--especially when I see older pictures--but there are worse things, and she is still the same old girl, albeit with a slightly funky new look

The eye's healing is almost done. Some more redness should evaporate, but it will settle down to look much like a blind eye. Why bother with the prosthetic?, you're probably wondering. Given hours to google, instead of 30 seconds to make an emergency decision, I likely wouldn't have bothered, but what's done is done and I'm pleased to say it has caused her no grief at all.

Siesta time, once more (it's 90 degrees and 90% humidity today--yuck)
