Crow dog and Stella are the best of friends--two peas in a boisterous pod

Lovely to see Stella back in action. She looks fantastic. I was wondering how much she eats? Tilly was at the vets today for her shots and he thinks at 25 pounds she's a bit porky! Her saving grace is that she is big boned but we're going to help her lose a couple of pounds! She gets 1/2 cup of Iams kibble in the am and pm with a thumbnail size bit of Georgie's canned food. Sorry - I didn't mean to hijack Stella's photos but she looks the picture of health.

She eats the same, if not a little more, than Tilly. If Stella is looking a bit podgy (ie post-surgery, when she was only leash-walked for 2.5 weeks) I feed Nature's Variety raw venison patties every third feed. Otherwise, she's on a fresh diet of turkey, butternut squash and vegetables.

Sounds like Tilly could be one of those big Bostons, harking back to their ancestors. She's never struck me as being overweight in the pictures you've posted. Is there any chance she's sneakily thieving your whippet's food? Does she like to play fetch? I find that more than long walks, jogging, agility etc. a hardcore session of fetch, every other day, keeps Stella nice and trim.

They look like they're having a great time! Stella has really bounced back from her surgery. She looks beautiful!

Aw, thankies. They don't stop. Crow is one of the most energetic dogs I've ever come across, so Stella feels obliged to outrun her

We're still waiting on my SIL to do the DNA test, but there's definitely some Basset in there (she bays) and some Border Collie (she does that talking thing, and she also herds).

and I love her harness too!

You know, I've gotten used to her uneven eyes. I find it strange to look at a dog with two normal eyes now!

And her harness is great. As a precaution, it's better to walk dogs who've had/have glaucoma in a harness, and this one is a sensation harness, applying a touch of pressure to her mid-back (like a martingale collar) or you can attach it from the front, and she'll end up turning sideways if she pulls too much.
