stem cell therapy

Does anyone have any exeprience with stem cell therpay. My mare has severe hind suspensory injury. Shes goes in next thursday to have bone marrow taken from her sternum. Would love to hear more about it, recovery time, results etc.

We have had 4 done with stem cells in tendons. 3 of them worked. 1 didn't. Of the 3 that worked 2 never had another bother with the tendon, 1 had a reoccurance of the injury.

Healing time is the same as without stem cells. All stem cell thearapy does is put in new fresh cells to encourage the tissue to heal with elastic stuff rather than scar tissue.

From my experience it's not worth the money at the end of the day as the outcome will still be the same.
