Steroids again...

Vet wants my horse to stay on prednisolone for another two weeks, already been on them three weeks. He had neurological signs which are improving now but worried about side effects of corticosteroids. Happy stories anyone about good results from their use?

To be honest the neuro signs are of much greater life limiting potential at this point so the benefits of steroids outweigh the risks. Oral steroids have much less potential to cause laminitis and as of yet there is no scientific evidence to show a direct link with that type of steroid.
