Anyone got any ideas please? Youtube have lots of ideas on stretching shoes, but not calf area on boots. Really dont want to sell these as they're fab - and I'm already dieting
leather is a skin, it will stretch with time and use.
best thing to do is to keep them oiled and wear them with shorts in the house to walk around in. That way the oils in your skin condition the inside too!
Thanks both for some great ideas, I just read another online which said, fill a watertight plastic bag (like a binbag) with water, leave to freeze overnight and as the water expands it'll stretch the boot. Now's certainly the right weather to try that one
I've never done it, and thinking about it, it may be a bit risky, but I've heard that if you stuff boots full of slightly damp newspaper and leave them overnight it stretches them?
Personally, I just wear mine round the house, down the yard, when I take the dog for a walk etc and they soon stretch!
I don't think I'd risk the water thing. Just keep wearing them, get the zip up as far as you can, do it in easy stages. Put a key ring or a hook through the zip pull, makes it a lot easier and doesn't hurt your fingers.
