This morning I received an email from my riding club about slip collecting at Badminton.
I really want to do it and have been offered a 14hh Haflinger to ride as I don't fancy taking Lace as she will have just turned 5 and I don't want to blow her brains!
Anyway what I want to know is those of you that have done it before did you enjoy it and would you do it again??
Thanks in advance

I used to do this at Bramham through Pony Club. I loved it. I wouldn't take a youngster as it might blow their brains!!!!! So i'd definatly take the haflinger. At bramham after the xc we got to go play in the water with our horses, and (as it was long format) I did once get to go round the steeplechase!!!!!!

Definatly do it, it was such good fun!!!! I took my pony to Bramham the day before she went to her new home, I was stewarding the water jump. It was back in the days of film photography (none of the digital lark!) and I got roped in to take the film up to the lorry to be processed. The photographers then took a load of pro pics of me and my pony, and gave them to me for free. They are some of my most prized possessions now, definatly somthing I would save in a fire!!!!

I did it when I was 14 and in the Beaufort Pony Club. I collected slips on the steeplechase and had to negotiate past the planes and helicopters. I had a totally unsuitable horse who was traffic shy so it was a bit hairy at times.
It was quite a long time ago!!!
