Just a quick question, possibly a silly one. If your horse were to start sticking their nose straight out in front of them and opening their mouth, what would you put it down to? Baring in mind it was at walk, on a loose rein out hacking, and I've never known him do it before?

Teeth, back or saddle possibly all three if they have not been checked for a while and this is new behaviour.
If a one off maybe something caught in his mouth, a bit of bramble of just a packed up wad of grass.

Thanks both, teeth were done last month and I've got the saddler coming out Monday to get that checked / sorted. Just odd as I'd never seen him do it before, yet he was doing it quite regularly on that ride out.
