Yesterday Bruno got a grass seed in his eye. We've flushed it out but his eye is still slightly sticky. Mum is a nurse so bought her eye torch thingy home and can't see anything (different to human eyes I know) we've been bathing it with cooled salt water and he certainly isn't bothered. Can see clearly, eating and drinking well, there is no swelling or discoloration and he let's me look at it and bathe it.
Just wondering if this is the right plan of action? If no better by Saturday I'm going to take him to the Saturday morning clinic at the vets but should I try to get him in earlier?
Hes so well in himself and it's clearly not bothering him and he's a right wimp and if it was hurting he'd be screaming the house down! I know eyes are delicate things.
Thank you.

Yes,eyes are important, glad he's going to the vet. The vet may give you 1% chlorophenicol which you can also get over the counter at the chemist in Goldeneye cream or Brolene. It has helped me, the dogs and the horse on many occasions.

This is a good reminder, I always check for grass seeds after woods/long grass walks.
