I've only owned my horse for 6 months and he's the first horse I've ever owned. My horse is 10 years old and apparently he has always suffered with "stiff" legs. He's a little slow to get started, but once he's warmed up and working he's a pleasure to ride.
In the past 2 weeks he's been slightly lame, so I've left him to rest. However the longer I leave him the stiffer he gets. I would like to start using a joint supplement, however he isn't on hard feed. Plus he's a little on the fat side and needs to go on a diet. Is there a supplement I can give him without putting it in food? Does anyone out there have any recommendations for me please.
