Stiff stifle

Hi - this is my first post on dogs so please forgive me if this is a regularly answered question!

I have two GSDs, the older is now 7 and has had stiff stifle joints (Not hips as is more usual in GSDs) for some time.

He's on cortaflex but is getting worse (he now finds it quite hard to squat to poo

)

We will go back to the vets but does anyone have any experience of this? Is there an op that could help? Something more we could do? Other tablets, supplements etc?

Speak to the vet about Cartrophen injections as a friend had them for her dog with some success. Hydrotherapy and acupuncture might also help but even Rimadyl/ metacam might be of use now.

Oops so sorry not to have noticed ( I was rushing a bit)....Still I stand by my first statement....gorgeous dogs, both of them!
