Right my boy is currently being investigated for pelvis pain and I'm waiting to hear if he will get covered from insurance for a bone scan. Fingers crossed I' find out this week. He has been off work for a month and was tried last weekend to see if pain had settled with a little rest (which it hasnt).
He 2 weeks ago had a mad moment in the field which lasted 5 mins and he ended up lame on right hind leg. It lasted 12 hrs.
On Friday I had his shoes taken off due to not being in work. After 1 hr in the stable he was turned out again and was dragging his whole hoof on the ground for a good few mins and then dragged his toe rest of way to field.
Contacted my vet who put him on 1 bute a day to see if it helps settle anything down or make him more comfortable whlie we are waiting on insurance.
He now occasionally drags his toes not a the time but does catch his toes every 8 strides or so. He is worse on the colder days. Woud it just be a stiffness issue or something ese?
