Stiffness

My mare has been on superflex for several years and she is now 16! I have noticed over the last few months she is getting quite stiff on her hind legs, obviously arthritis is setting in now she's in her early teens! I've added devils relied also now but not noticed a benefit yet! Has any one else found if their horse has been on a supplement long term they seem to become 'immune' to it? What supplements do u all find if benefit? )

One of my mares gets stiff behind when the ground gets very wet. I tried all sorts of supplements. The one that really worked and kept working was Nupafeeds green lipped muscle. It is quite expensive but lasted me months.

my horse was on blue chip dynamic for years and i noticed he was becoming a bit stiffer on it. Now on superflex and the difference is amazing, he is much looser now x

Top Spec senior and you only need a scoop x 2 feeds its cheeper as it has everything in it. works a teat.

My mare is 18 and was stiff behind, noticably for the farrier and after lying down (which she never did for long) When she got up for the first few steps it was almost like she had a dead leg and would hop for a few strides then looked ok. I put her on devils releif about 2 months ago and she is like a different horse. She lies down in her box in the afternoon (never ever did this before) no more dead legs, and on the last farrier visit he had her foot on the stand for the first time i can remember in a long time. She is a big horse and the first bottle didn't last long with the loading dose, but now she is on 30ml per day. A one litre bottle is around £16 and on Saturday i bought a 2 litre refill for £28.99 so better value.
