We are now about about 3 months post Stifle Arthroscopy on our 12yo mare.
Surgery identified the
cranial meniscotibial ligament to be substantially torn so this was dealt with. Although still lame we are hoping as the months go by she will improve & we can get her at the very least field sound for a happy retirement as she means the world to us.
We know it’s time & a waiting game but can anyone offer any hope for a happy outcome.
She is a fabulous patient on box rest with twice daily in hand walks along the lanes & seems quite happy.
Vet & surgeon booked & hoping she can go out in a small turnout pen in a couple of weeks.
