Stilemans HT - Cancelled..

Well - it was inevitable, but I was holding out some hope it would run, but alas, NO. Like most other events this month so far, things aren't running.

Will now enter a Combined Training comp next w/end instead.

I loose a fiver too

And thats a bit out of order that they keep £5 but i spose they still have to pay for all the work done so far.

I know they will lose out financially as a result, but i would have thought that stance was illegal

Surely insurance would cover the cost of the event being cancelled

good point, i know that most events i've seen seem to retian some money if they are cancelled through weather.

perhaps they don't insure against weather?

what do BSJA / BD and BE do?

I've never heard of a BSJA event being cancelled for the weather tbh...so don't know, but would 'expect' to get my entry fees back, or at least carried over to another show

this is a one off event organised by a hunt.

last event that i was entered in that had to cancel i lost £2 for admin fees.

cool - i did one there in Sept just after i bought the mare, just hope it is dry enough, the only other event i've had cancel on me is Longreach!!!
