One of my littleuns is a pure welsh b, unfortunately she lost her foal at beginning of August.
Anyhow, she is still really quite big.........I haven't mollycoddled her since losing foal, in fact up until the weather turned horrid she was being lunged, long reined 4 or 5 times a week. She also comes in for a few hours a day to dry feet out with a tiny amount of soaked hay and a small handful of good doer....
I WILL NOT rug her as she is just sooooooooooo tubby still. She's got a lovely thick coat, shelter, been wormed.
Surely i shouldn't need to strip graze in November? All the others btw are looking an ideal weight for this time of year and are rugged up and on same regime.
Any ideas??
