Still itchy but seems to be confined to withers.

I've had great success getting the itches out of my horse. He's clipped, groomed twice daily, out of rugs etc. Far less reactive than he was. However, he just got to a tree and spent God knows how long scratching his withers. It's very scurffy looking, no skin breaks. What else can I do? Using medicated shampoos, have hot clothes etc. He's shining and so much better, but we're not there. Waiting on vet to take a look. Bald patch, not red, on withers.

I have a new companion coming and I don't want him bullying him for itches.
Thanks guys. Kya

I bought a cob summer 2024 and when he came he was so itchy with his withers and mane. I ended up hogging him.

I managed him last year using biteback sweet relief lotion, washing regularly with head and shoulders when the weather is nice and global herbs black salt supplement (he has a full mane again)
