Have you put your own adverts up locally? Write your own advert, putting your experience, what sort of horse you are looking for, etc. Do NOT put your age on the advert. Go round your local tack shops and feed merchants, and put the advert up everywhere you can think of.

have you looked online? Horsequest has a whole section of horses for loan, as does Horsemart. You can also try these sites;

www.horsetoloan.com

www.horsesharesuk.co.uk

New Rider has classified ads with horses to loan and share, they might be a good bet. I got all three of my horses via forums - two of them via this forum! I know we arent allowed to advertise, but you can always put a subtle hint in your signature...

get your mum or a knowledgeable adult to respond to ads for you on your behalf.... im looking for a loaner for my pony at the mo and i dont like it when kids or younger teenagers contact me no offence!!!! i just think its better from the parent - worth a try, and also get them to write your wanted advert. good luck!

Hun - that's really helpful info about your experience. Don't know if this is not quite what you want to do but have you got a good riding school near you? You could offer to help out eg at weekends and get to know the local riding community. Another useful thing you may try is to grab your yellow pages and go round to all the livery yards in your area. There's usually plenty of owners wanting a sharer or part-loaner and that would be a start.

i have got a fantastic riding school and a rubbish riding school i have lesson at the fantastic one but they dont loan there ponies out but the rubbish one does so i might consider ringing them up; and asking what there prices are but i dont know i might even go back to my old one texas coz i am really not sure wat to do bout it
