I am still seeking the whereabouts of this large horse (Bertie), for which I posted requests for information about some time ago. I received about 1000 viewings following the last posting, and many thanks to all those who read that one.
I now have some more-positive, reasonably-reliable information that he is being kept at a yard 'up-country' from me by a youngish female who is probably the proprietor. These stables have been described to me as being an annexe to a farm that is run/owned by a couple, who may also be the parents of this female. The stables are apparently down a long lane. The county is most likely to be Somerset, Hampshire, Sussex, but could be Gloucestershire or even other counties spanning Southern England (!). The name of the location is something like Shelly (Shelley) Lane.
I am now much more interested to know if the above scenario rings bells with anyone, rather that expecting someone to recognise the horse 'in a field' from a detailed description or photograph of the horse (posted before). I would be so grateful for any information that would help me trace any stables that even vaguely fit the above description. Many thanks.
