Purchased a girth direct from a website 27th May I then had an email to say sorry no stock until mid June would you like to wait or be refunded. I asked to be refunded. Waited no refund. I then emailed mid June asking if they had chance to refund to my account. No answer. I rang last Thursday and spoke to the woman, who seemed a little bristly, and said she would do it that afternoon. No refund still.

The sum of money is £54 so I dont want to let it go .... should I ring again? And follow up with an email?

Help

Thanks for the advice guys, I just feel quite weak and useless when it comes to stuff like this!

Yes, I'd tell them unless the money is refunded TODAY you will go to Trading Standards. These companies are quick enough to take your money, refunding it should be just as fast.

Did you pay by credit card? You could contact the card company if you did. I would call them now - say they are to do the refund now or you will contact trading standards. If they say they are doing it give it a couple of days to go in and then contact trading standards. You have already asked twice tho so you could just contact them now if you don't want to call again. Things like this get me really angry. Its theft!

Give them one more call - say that if not refunded today that you are going to contact the credit card company and get them to sort it out

You might like to point out that a valid chargeback will cost them around £25.
