Hello yesterday my horse got stirrup stuck on fence post and galloped off. Conciquently the bit on my saddle that holds on the stirrup leather on I think it's called the stirrup bar snapped.
It is one of the ones that flicks up to hold on the leather. And the flick up bit snapped of. If that makes sense
Juts wondering if it is fixable and price thankyou

Yes a good saddler should be able to do this for you as long as the tree hasn't been damaged in the process

Generally you're not supposed to flick them up for riding, you have them flat so that in an emergency the stirrup leather can slide off the bar if caught but as Wheels said, saddler should be able to fix :)

I agree with this. If you ever get dragged you'll really wish that you hadn't "boxed" the leather in!

If the accident was sufficient to break the stirrup bar you will be very lucky if the tree is not damaged. Take your saddle to a good saddler, tell them exactly what happened and they will advise and give you a quote for inspection and repair. Do not use a saddler that does not think it is necessary to inspect the tree.

unfortunately you might not be able 'tell' if its damaged, its like a hat, can be broken without really being obvious from the outside
