Does anybody know if there is such a thing? Im thinking of some sort of material bag with elastic at the top to put on over stirrups - am fed up at muddy events of having to do up my stirrups and making my saddle filthy!

I thought exactly the same thing after a day of showjumping in tipping down rain... went home to clean my tack and got sand and cr@p over my saddle as soon as a ran my stirrups back up

I opted for ultra classy sandwich bags!

A purpose made item would be great!

Go to your nearest Ski shop. Buy a pair of ski-ing tube socks in a colour to suit... and you will have very stylish stirrup covers that will stop your saddle being scratched by the irons, or getting muddy.

Or pinch a pair of mens wooly boot socks!

Im pretty sure that i've seen something like this is the Shires catalogue but im at work and the catalogue is at home. Will have a quick nosey on the site and see if i didn't imagine it!
