Hi.
I need to buy some new havana stirrup leathers to match my new saddle. I have some lovely black Kieffer ones that I picked up in a half price sale but can't really afford £50+ at the moment.... Can anyone recommend any cheaper ones or shall I just stop being a tight a*se and spend a bit more

Thanks

I have bates leather and they are super - no complaints at all -what equestrian clearance for a bargain! I am sire I picked mine up there at a good price.

A friend recently bought shirse ones that look similar to the bates one but can't comment on how they have performed yet.

In my opinion (with regards to leathers)you get what you pay for.

iv got treadstone ones, from derby house, but i reckon you do get what you pay for.
mine were reasonably priced, and i am happy with them so far.

I've got "Bates Webbers" which are leather with webbing lining so they don't stretch. They adjust by the stirrup so you have no buckle under your thigh. They are slightly more fiddly to adjust while you are mounted, and you can't run them up when not in use but are so comfortable I'll never go back to conventional stirrup leathers.

Thanks for replies

I'm going to Gatcombe tomorrow so hopefully some of your recommendations there.
I've got my first ever show next weekend and black leathers and havana saddle is not a good look

Thanks again
