Stirrup Leathers rubbing Saddle?

I've recently gotten a Libra Trec Nubuck Treeless, and I'm having a bit of trouble with stirrups.
I bought a pair of Wintec Webbers, but on getting the saddle realize that it has large rings instead of stirrup bars, so no where for me to attach them.
So returned them, and popped my regular, synthetic stirrup leathers on, and whilst they worked, they've rubbed a bare patch after one short hack on either side of the saddle where the stirrup leather twisted slightly (where I popped my foot in).

So now I'm looking to go back to T Bar stirrups, and the only ones I can find that will attach to the rings are these ones sold by Libra themselves:

And they look nice enough, I'm just wondering if there are any alternatives, or if these are even any good?
I'm hoping being leatherette they'll be softer on the saddle and being only one strap will not twist/rub as much to preserve the saddle.

Any ideas? I don't want to ruin my saddle already!

It can be okay but I'd never recommend synthetic leathers on a leather saddle. If you have leathers from Libra then it is definitely THEIR problem if they rub :)

Saddle is synthetic Nubuck, sorry, should have said! I don't have leathers from libra yet, was asking if they were any good or if there were any alternatives to suit the ring attachments for the leathers :)

Your saddle might not allow you to do this, but when I had a saddle on trial, the fitter asked me to put the stirrups under the flap. So instead of threading them through the gap at the top, they just stuck out underneath instead. It was so comfortable that I actually kept them that way all of the time I had the saddle. Helped to stop it getting marked on top too, and I didn't find they caught on the girth guard/straps/buckles at all.

That sounds interesting, but I'm having trouble visualizing it! I'll have to have a stare at my saddle tonight!

I do this for all my saddle fittings - if you do the stirrup up if it's a normal one, hold it as a loop at the top, put it up under the flap then lift the skirt with the other hand so you can see properly and you can slide it on the bar from the back, use as normal! Some endurance riders like to keep them under the flaps and it certainly leaves the flaps in pristine condition.

I would be sending it back for them to look at first. If its got that bad so quickly. Did they recommend ones to use? if not then its not fit for purpose.

Whoops think I must have forgotten to mention I got it 2nd hand barely used from ebay :P

I actually sat and had a good look at it yesterday and another stare whilst riding and I've figured out the problem, it's where the stirrup leathers move, because they're normal meaning these two straps, where the straps are together it's pulling, if that makes any sense.

Aaaanyway I've figured out I just need to buy some T-bars to prevent it :)
